Imagine if your system could…
-
Manage high risk patients by offering unique services
ensuring their health and loyalty
-
Ensure that services are consistent to patients even when you
have new or unfamiliar staff
-
Offer PCTs the ability to help them with reducing drug
wastage and improving compliance to formularies
The
future has just got better…
CAPA contains
a unique module to enable pharmacists to manage high risk
patients. Under the Managed Service module, you can group
patients under your pre-defined categories and then offer them
a host of specific pharmaceutical services including, ordering
repeat prescriptions, reminder charts, synchronising supply,
clinical review, and monitoring inappropriate prescribing.
CAPA is the only system that can hold static and comprehensive
files of the medication a patient is taking called a Repeat
Medication Record. This, coupled with pre-defined mathematical
algorithms can give a summary assessment of a patients
clinical therapy at a press of a button and even view how many
days worth of medication a patient has remaining.
Most services
that pharmacies offer are dependent on staff following certain
procedures and ‘remembering’ to do things. CAPA enables a high
level of care to Managed Patients regardless of operator
knowledge, staff omissions or shortcuts. For example, if a
Doctor calls to say that he is discontinuing a drug for a
patient, current systems at best allow a text note to be made,
and this does nothing more. CAPA allows you to discontinue a
drug and future attempts at dispensing that drug are
effectively barred enabling you to prevent any inappropriate
supplies. Also when patients are discharged from hospital, no
system other than CAPA has the facility to record and keep up
to date, the patients current drug regime. With ALL OTHER
systems, effectively you are required to make a 'dummy'
dispense record and this is technically incorrect (as it has
not been dispensed), inaccurate, and potentially dangerous and
illegal.
