CAPA comes complete with endorsing, fast repeat dispensing,
clinical warnings, but that’s where the similarity ends with
all other PMR systems on the market. The CAPA Dispensing
Module is no minor feature. Behind its simple façade, the
Dispensing module is a complex and powerful feat of computer
engineering enabling the unimaginable and presenting a
wealth of controls to the pharmacist in an easy to navigate
dispensing package. A whole host of features which prompt or
warn pharmacists on issues which are designed to improve the
care of the patient or improve business or improve Head
Office compliance. As the Dispensing module is entirely
integrated with the rest of the system, a simple dispensing
transaction will automatically update relevant records
elsewhere in the system or elsewhere in the company such as
Managed Patients and Collection and Delivery statuses.
The Dispensing module is centred around Clinical Governance
using staff codes against each transaction, and barcode
validation of products after dispensing. Instalments can be
created with ease and dispensed in batches of hundreds at a

facilities to record interventions and clinical notes and
above all, as the system utilises READ codes CAPA is the
