CAPA has an entire module dedicated to managing requests for Collection and Delivery. An easy to use screen allows you to identify a patient and record a collection only or collection and delivery request. If your company operates a call centre or is considering this, a request can be made on behalf of another branch, which is then informed of the request instantly via the network. CAPA prints schedules on request and collection and delivery dockets. On receiving prescriptions, a reference number on the docket identifies the patient and partly completes the dispensing screen. Simply enter the items and finish.

CAPA also allows you to fail deliveries and re-schedule them for collection on another day. The status is automatically updated at each point, so any user within the network (including Head Office) are aware of which stage the request is at. The uniqueness of CAPA is such that if a patient has requested a delivery in one branch and inadvertently walks into another branch while it is pending, SMART-CHECK will prompt the pharmacist to either cancel the delivery or re-direct the prescription to the appropriate branch.
