The Care Home module within CAPA is like none other. CAPA generates special paperwork that enables Care Homes to reconcile their records with the pharmacy. CAPA manages Care Home residents in a similar way to Managed patients keeping static Repeat Medication Records which are kept up to date. After reconciling information, CAPA can be used to generate repeat requests from the GP. Prescriptions are checked off by a simple tick on boxes on the screen. A unique facility called Batch Dispensing allows an entire batch of Care Home prescriptions to be labelled at a press of one button. In 15 minutes, a Care Home with 300 prescription items can be labelled, stock re-ordered, picking sheets produced along with a summary(*) of the batch. Special paperwork enables MDS trays to be packed accurately in an order specified by the home (e.g. Room Order). Care Home paperwork is tailor made allowing easy booking in (*).

CAPA further has the ability to accurately predict to 98% accuracy, every MDS blister item that requires preparation several weeks before the supply is needed allowing you to prepare MDS blisters in advance and efficiently. Special codes identify each blister pack which then marries up with the final prescription when it arrives (*).
