CAPA is the
sum of a number of complex modules all seamlessly sewn
together locally and across a wide area network (WAN). Each
module has an extensive range of features brought about by
sophisticated programming and system design enabling the end
user to perform tasks easily and efficiently.
There is
essentially two versions of CAPA available;
CAPA Professional Edition...
This version
of CAPA has all the modules built in as one application and
is networked locally over as many PC's as required in one
branch. For example a single branch may have one for Sales and
two for Dispensing. Each machine can be used to perform any
of the tasks of the other. Naturally, the Professional Edition will not
benefit from the extensive range of features brought about
by the CAPA network, such as communications and data
transmission across other branches.
CAPA Enterprise Edition...
The
Enterprise Edition of CAPA is designed for companies with
more than one pharmacy. It is divided into 2 parts, Head
Office Edition and Branch Edition. The Branch Edition has
access to all the features of CAPA, however certain tasks
are restricted to Head Office Edition only, such as
maintaining staff, products, prescribers, purchasing
patterns and rules. Certain information is also restricted
to Head Office only. Communication between Head Office and
Branches is real-time, secure, and instant.
Care Home Manager...
Care Home Manager is
an additional package which bolts onto to either of the
above versions of CAPA. Care Home Manager provides a highly
refined and specialised package of options to manage
departments which cater for vast volumes of Residential and
Nursing Home prescriptions.
